Hello, as this new month starts and we continue to face several changes in the world, I am happy that you are here reading this new blog post from Living Healthier Ideas which is part of a series of interviews aimed at providing support and guidance.
I am Cristina Pettersen C and I am excited to share this blog post. As you know I am all into a Holistic Lifestyle, Healing, and Self-Love. I believe in the power of self-love and I stand for a world that is united, abundant, loving, where everyone knows that they matter. Through my journey, I have learned that working on self-love is the key to heal and to feel confident in life in order to keep moving forward. That all the blockages to my goals were related to unsolved situations from my past, as well as, how important it is to get tools and support in order to keep moving forward.
Today, I had the pleasure of interviewing Brenda Lanigan, a Certified Holistic Lifestyle Coach from EssenseofYou who is sharing some of her top tips to release worry and stress. Whether you are someone who is feeling worried or stressed this blog post is for you.
Tell us a bit about yourself – Who is Brenda Lanigan
Answer: I am a holistic lifestyle practitioner with over 25 years of experience! My journey along the path of a holistic approach to health was inspired by her mom. She was diagnosed with cancer and passed away at the age of 51. When she was sick and nearing the end of her life, I began seeking information about alternative therapies, self-reflection, and herbal remedies. Unfortunately, it was too late to help my mom and she passed away the day after Mother’s Day in 1994.
My mom would share with me what she was learning; and, after she passed, curiosity and the belief that there had to be a better way to live a healthy life led me to begin researching everything I could get my hands on about the holistic lifestyle.
I know we are going through a lot of uncertainty, which is causing a lot of stress and a lot of worries all around the world, and we may not always know how to deal with that.
So, Brenda what are your top tips to release worry and stress?
1- Write down what is worrying you so you can see it. Because when it is running in the back of your head it is just getting bigger, and getting overwhelming when it may just be something that you can recognize that is within your control.
So the things that are within your control, you can write a list with them and then find ways to deal with them.
When things are out of your control, you may want to see if there is some opportunity to change that situation or see what is life telling you through that situation. Is it something you can change, let go, or is it something that will make you realize that there is internal work to do.
2- Do what you can with the things you can control.
Like writing down those steps with those things, to figure them out.
3- Take action
It is important to take action towards your health and wellness because that worry and stress are going to affect your life at different levels.
